In exchange for working required shifts, Hometown workers are each given an allotment of their total production for that week, be it in fruits, vegetables, clothing or meat.

For shifts over the five required, workers are given credit chits which may be exchanged for goods beyond those allotted. Prices are subject to haggling, barter and trade as well.

Underground Black-Market Credits: One hour of service running whatever gets you anywhere from ten to one thousand credits. The greater the payout, the more likely you will be expelled from a Hometown. You can get many things and services in the black market. Finding it as almost as dangerous as dealing with it or thinking about going to find it. Who knows who might be reading your thoughts?
